Regional Air Quality (RAQ) system

Pan-European maps of the main atmospheric pollutants’ concentrations as forecast by the regional air quality (RAQ) models of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS).

Description & Technical Information

Description

The CAMS regional air quality (RAQ) production is based on seven state-of-the-art numerical air quality models developed in Europe. Each model daily forecasts the concentrations of air pollutants (ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, particulate matters below 10 and 2.5 mm) in the lowest layers of the atmosphere with a 4-day lead time. Forecasts are combined via an ensemble approach in the CAMS regional Ensemble which is then delivered through the RAQ data service website.
