EDHIT Training Activity (Wednesday 24th June)
DATE, VENUE AND TARGETED AUDIENCE:
The training activity will be held on JUNE 24th of 2015 at the Conference Room of the Espai Catalunya-Europa, Rue de la Loi/ Wetstraat, 227 1040 Brussels (Belgium).
The targeted audience will be between 30 to 50 attenders, from Civil Protection Authorities, Meteorological Offices and EFAS partners, as well as university researchers and technical people from enterprises in the sector.
CASE STUDY FOR THE EXERCICES:
The case-study for the exercices will be the Flood of 14-16 May 2014 at the Pielach Basin (around 500 km2), near St. Pölten, having recorded around 120 mm of rain on 24h and over 300 mm in 72h, having lead to a flash flood over 100 years of return period.
