Workshop on Supporting Civil Protections to manage hazards induced by heavy rainfall and storms in Europe
 
 
The ERICHA partners are pleased to announce the workshop on "Supporting Civil Protections to manage hazards induced by heavy rainfall and storms in Europe", at the premises of Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) of the EU Civil Protection, Brussels on 14 June 2017.

The objective of this 1-day workshop is not only to deliver the achievements obtained during ERICHA project but also to bring together experts in meteorological forecasters and Civil Protection agencies to discuss and propose ways toward a more efficient response against the rainfall-induced risks at European scale.
 
Topics will include the relevance of the corporation at European level, the challenge of short-term, high-resolution rainfall induced hazards forecasting, verification tests and real application case studies analysed with the ERICHA and EFAS platforms. There will be a session of round table and open debate as well. Please see the details in the Program.

 

 

Attendance
  • The workshop is oriented to Emergency managers from Civil Protection centres, to Meteorological forecasters supporting them, to hydrological forecasters using the EFAS platform, as well as to experts from enterprises providing them technical support. We encourage your participation with Posters on your experties.
  • Registration is required by 11 June 2017 and limited to 50 participants.
